What Happens After Sponsorship?
Once your student is sponsored, BOR will provide sponsorship certificates to high schools and students of your choice. If no school or student is designated, certificates will be awarded by local high school counselors based on

Student Support & Accountability
Both career counselors from BOR and schools will collaborate with your student to design a tailored 1–3-year career plan. Through the pre-apprenticeship program offered by Seattle Central College, students will acquire practical training that directly aligns with the demands of construction work sites.
Job Placement & Continued Support
BOR will help sponsored students secure part-time employment while they participate in the pre-apprenticeship program. With your sponsorship, these students will receive guidance and support from their designated BOR career counselor or employer mentor for a full 12 months, ensuring they have access to career assistance even during school breaks.

The goal of this program is to provide students with the chance to explore rewarding opportunities in the trades industry while fostering a new generation to sustain the legacy of this foundational sector. Additionally, it offers students an alternative pathway to traditional college, helping them avoid potential future regrets and financial burdens.
